BIOGRAPHY:
Allan Mustafa is the creator and co-writer of People Just Do Nothing a BBC Three mockumentary about West London pirate radio station Kurupt FM.

The pilot aired on iPlayer in July 2012 and became the most watched and shared programme during that month. Following this success a series of four episodes were commissioned, which aired in July 2014 on BBC Three. One year later, the second series aired. The third series aired in 2016, both on iPlayer and BBC2, receiving much praise. People Just Do Nothing were nominated at the 2016 BAFTA awards in the category of Best Scripted Comedy, alongside Peep Show, Chewing Gum and Peter Kay's Car share. Series 3 was also nominated in the category of Best TV Situation Comedy at the 2017 Writer's Guild Awards and for Best TV Series at the NME Awards of the same year. The show had great success at the Royal Television Society Awards, 2017, winning in the Scripted Comedy category and they’ve also just released a single featuring Ed Sheeran called ‘What Do I Know?’ to raise money for Red Nose Day and Comic Relief, complete with a hilarious music video.


As well as having a keen interest in writing, Allan enjoys performing and plays the lead role of 'MC Grindah' in People Just Do Nothing. His unique and socially observant comedy style setting the tone and underpinning the cultural accuracy of the show.

Allan was named as one of Broadcast Magazine's "Hotshots" in 2014 and hopes to continue developing his portfolio as a writer/ performer within the Television and Film industry.
