OWEN ROBERTS
Representing Agent: Becky Williams
Roles: Actor, Comedian
BIOGRAPHY:
Owen is more commonly known as the balding beardy one who wears a polo neck from the critically acclaimed sketch group BEASTS. But aside from that he is also an actor, comedy writer and amateur ornithologist.

In the past he has been seen successfully upstaging and undermining a perfectly decent production of ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ at the Theatre Royal Haymarket. ‘Fresh performances...especially the sardonic anti-acting of Owen Roberts ’ The Times

Exposing himself to complete strangers in the comedy ‘Nude’ at the Pleasance courtyard 2008. ‘Prepare for the social awkwardness of staring at a stranger’s penis for the next hour’ The list ****

And starring in the short film with the longest title ever, at Palm Springs international film festival 2012. ‘Will Sampson (..and the self perpetuating cycle of unintended abstinence)’

If you want to see him, he can generally be found in and around London performing with BEASTS. Following two consecutive sell-out Edinburgh shows, this year the trio returned to score the hat-trick at the Pleasance Courtyard. Arguably their be(a)st show thus far, SOLO, directed by Foster's nominated director, Tom Parry (Pappy's), was another feast of critically acclaimed sillyness. A nomination for the Amused Moose Laughter Award plus the title of ‘5th Best-Reviewed Show of the Fringe’ and a Soho Theatre run were their hearty rewards.

BEASTS have also appeared on R4’s Sketchorama and an online sketch they filmed about the creation of Sonic The Hedgehog has racked up over 90,000 views on youtube. The boys are currently developing ideas for TV and radio so watch out mortals, they’re coming to get you
